These Terms of Use apply to the use of the Voice2Symbol app and the website voice2symbol.com (hereinafter "Service"). The provider is Karl Tschetschonig, Vienna, Austria (hereinafter "Provider").
By installing the app or using the Service for the first time, the user agrees to these Terms of Use. The Provider does not recognise any conflicting terms and conditions of the user.
The Provider grants the user a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on the user's own devices within the scope of the purchased licence tier. The following actions are expressly prohibited:
Voice2Symbol integrates symbol systems from third-party providers (e.g. Metacom symbols by Annette Kitzinger, PCS symbols by Tobii Dynavox). These symbol packages are subject to the licence terms of their respective rights holders.
Before downloading a symbol package for the first time, the user agrees to the licence terms of the respective symbol publisher within the app. The symbols may only be used within the app and for their intended purpose (augmentative and alternative communication).

The Provider is liable only in cases of intent or gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence, loss of profit or indirect damages is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
The Provider accepts no liability for data loss caused by device changes, uninstallation or technical errors.
All rights to the Voice2Symbol app, its user interface, algorithms and infrastructure belong to the Provider, Karl Tschetschonig, unless third-party rights apply.
Third-party symbol packages (Metacom, PCS, etc.) are the property of their respective rights holders and are subject to their copyright. The app serves solely as a technical platform for displaying such content.
The user may request account deletion at any time by contacting the Provider.
The Provider may suspend or permanently revoke licences and accounts in the event of a breach of these Terms of Use without prior notice. Amounts already paid will not be refunded in such cases.
The Provider reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be published at voice2symbol.com/terms. Significant changes will be communicated to users by e-mail or in-app notification.
Continued use of the app after amended Terms of Use come into effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Vienna, Austria.
Consumers domiciled in another EU member state may also bring proceedings before the courts of their country of domicile. EU consumer protection directives apply in addition for consumers within the EU.
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason, in accordance with § 11 FAGG (Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act).
The withdrawal period is 14 days from the date of contract conclusion.

In accordance with the EU Cyber Resilience Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/2847), the Provider commits to supplying security updates for Voice2Symbol for a minimum of 5 years from the date of initial publication of the product.
Security updates are distributed through the app stores (e.g. Google Play Store, Apple App Store) and directly through voice2symbol.com. Users are responsible for installing available updates in a timely manner.
